Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine whether students' consumption behavior is in accordance with Islamic law. The research method used for this research is a qualitative method, so that it will produce data which is then analyzed in the form of a descriptive case study type. The data collection procedure techniques used were observation, intervews and documentation. The results of this research found that students at the Islamic Faculty of Teacher Education, Djuanda Bogor University, used paylater based on several factors, namely economic factors, pressing needs, and being tempted by offers of vouchers and discounts. So the use of SPaylter is not only based on financial issues. Then, students at the Faculty of Islamic Religion, Teacher Education, Djuanda Bogor University who use SPaylater tend to behave in a consumptive manner that is not in accordance with the characteristics of Islamic consumption by shopping excessively and always buying goods according to their wishes and following fashion trends or current products which means wasteful or excessive.
