This research is motivated by the researcher’s observations of the shallot trading practices in Saruran Village, Enrekang Regency. In these practices, low-quality shallots are sold by placing them in another village that is known for producing high-quality shallots. This is done to deceive potential buyers into thinking that the shallots are of high quality, leading them to pay a higher price. The main research question addressed in this study is: What is the perspective of Sharia Economic Law on the practice of shallot trading in Saruran Village, Enrekang Regency? This study is a field research employing data collection techniques through online interviews via WhatsApp and document studies. The findings of this research indicate that the trading of shallots by placing them in another location with the intention to deceive and mislead buyers for greater profit is prohibited. This practice falls under gharar (uncertainty/fraud), which has the potential to harm others and disrupt the market, including the prices of other goods.
Muh. https://e-journal.stishid.ac.id/index.php/ats-tsarwah/article/view/353

The distribution of zakat is important because if it is done correctly then the purpose of zakat can be achieved Mustahik zakat has experienced a dynamic meaning which has an impact on its allocation. Like asnaf fi sabilillah which has a shift in meaning along with the times and the context in which zakat is implemented. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of asnaf fi sabilillah in the empowerment program at the Baitul Maal Hidayatullah National Amil Zakat Institute. The research method used is a qualitative research method. Primary data sources are in the form of direct interviews with LAZ BMH structures and secondary data in the form of LAZ BMH empowerment program reports. The results of this study indicate that LAZ BMH implements asnaf fi sabilillah in the field of da'wah and tarbiah. Due to limited sources of zakat funds collected, LAZ BMH combines them into one program which is categorized into several asnaf. Such as combining asnaf for the poor as a priority asnaf with asnaf fi sabilillah, one of the flagship programs is education for cadres of scholars whose participants are selected based on the criteria of being poor.
Herianto Herianto

https://e-journal.stishid.ac.id/index.php/ats-tsarwah/article/view/354

Baitut Tamwil Hidayatullah (BTH) plays a crucial role in the community economy through Sharia-based financing aimed at supporting MSMEs and eradicating usury. However, the al-Qard contract—a social financing scheme without profit—often faces repayment challenges that impact public trust and institutional sustainability. This qualitative field research analyzes problematic al-Qard financing at BTH Umat Mandiri Balikpapan to assess its compliance with Sharia principles and the effectiveness of risk resolution. Data collection involved observation, interviews, and documentation, which were analyzed using Islamic law provisions. The study yielded two key findings. First, the financing mechanism at BTH Umat Mandiri complies with both internal procedures and Sharia principles, specifically strictly prohibiting interest (Riba). Second, problematic financing is primarily driven by customer-related factors, including urgent financial obligations and unstable income levels. These factors lead to delays in installment payments, violating the previously agreed-upon schedules.
Akmal Fala FalaArifuddin ArifuddinKusnadi Kusnadi

https://e-journal.stishid.ac.id/index.php/ats-tsarwah/article/view/355

This study examines the practice of distributing zakat, infaq, and sadaqah (ZIS) at Mitra Zakat Hidayatullah Balikpapan in its efforts to enhance the welfare of mustahik (eligible recipients) professionally and in accordance with sharia principles. This qualitative research employs a case study approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that ZIS distribution has been carried out systematically through consumptive aid programs (basic food packages, scholarships, operational funds) and limited-scale productive assistance, despite facing challenges such as the limited number of muzakki (zakat payers), donor domination from internal circles, and limited human resources. From the perspective of Islamic law, the practice aligns with sharia principles, particularly in terms of beneficiary targeting, transparency, and trustworthiness (amanah). However, there is a need to optimize the use of digital technology and strengthen human resources to further enhance the effectiveness of zakat distribution in the future.
Firdaus AdamPajrin BMasykur Masykur

https://e-journal.stishid.ac.id/index.php/ats-tsarwah/article/view/356

This research is based on the practice of ujrah guarding land in Sangatta Utara Village, East Kutai. This type of research is field research with a qualitative approach, obtaining data by direct observation of real events, making observations with descriptive analysis techniques, describing phenomena that have occured through reduction, display, and verification. Primary research data in the form of interviews with 3 respondents while secondary data obtained from literature review: MP, journals, theses and articles that discuss wages-ijarah. After conducting research and observations on ujrah guarding land in Sangatta Utara Village, East Kutai, it was found that the ijarah contract agreement for land guarding services was not in accordance with the provisions of sharia economic law because the wages given came from ajir work, as for the agreement in giving land that had been taken by the owner mujir makes the mujir owe the ajir the price of the land because of the expropriation of what has been given. The agreement that was made orally in North Sangatta Village actually caused the parties concerned to disagree in the future.
Lutfika SaputriSukman Sukman
