This research investigates the Walasuji tradition within Bugis weddings in Wonualaku Village and its standing under Islamic law. Walasuji is a woven bamboo container with a rhombus pattern, filled with fruit and covered by a white cloth, symbolizing the perfection of the universe and human values. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the study establishes that presenting the Walasuji is a mandatory requirement for the groom to enter the bride's residence prior to the marriage contract (akad). Failure to provide the Walasuji results in a customary fine for the groom. From an Islamic legal perspective, this tradition is classified as 'Urf Sahih (valid custom) and is deemed permissible. The analysis concludes that the symbolism and practice of Walasuji generally align with Islamic principles and do not cause harm. However, minor adjustments are recommended to ensure the tradition remains strictly within the boundaries of Sharia
